Corpse Reviver #2Happy Election Day! I want to encourage everyone to get out there and vote, no matter which way you stir your pot.

And when you’re done, make yourself a cocktail! I get pretty stressed out on election day, so I’m looking forward to indulging a little while watching election coverage later.

One of my favorites lately is the Corpse Reviver #2. Its one of those classic cocktails that is making a comeback, and I have Drink to thank for first introducing it to me. The combination of gin, lillet, lemon juice, cointreau, and absinthe sounds odd (to me, at least), but goes together surprisingly well. The taste is complex and mysterious…and quite addicting.

The Corpse Reviver #2 was originally meant as a hangover cure, intended to sort of bring you back to life. I think its perfect for all occasions, including election night.
