Foodie Penpals – April 2012

I saw so many Foodie Penpal posts last month that I decided to join in on the action this month. The Foodie Penpal program, started by Lindsay on her blog the Lean Green Bean, matches both bloggers and non-bloggers from all over the country. Each person sends a $15 food package to their match, which can be anything from fun snacks that they enjoy, local ingredients, or even homemade items. It’s a great way to get to know other bloggers and foodies, and of course try out new foods.

I received a package from Tabitha, who lives in Texas and blogs over at tabadilly.blogspot.com.

She sent me a fun assortment of things from Texas (where she’s from) and Ireland (where her husband’s family is from).

Local honey. We will go through this quickly in my house!

White Tea. This was perfect because I’m just starting to get into tea.

Hula Hoops. I had never tried these before. They were tasty (especially the cheese and onion flavor)!

Mint Aerobar. This was gone almost immediately. I love these candy bars.

I think Bailey enjoyed the box just as much as I enjoyed the food. Thanks Tabitha!

Check out Beth’s blog to see what I sent to her, and head over to the the Foodie Penpals page to see how you can participate next month!
