Sunday Brunching: Posto

Another Sunday, another brunch at Posto.

I’ve written about Posto’s pizza before, but not their brunch that I love so dearly.

Their menu has great mix of breakfast and lunch items, including some of their incredible pizzas. They also offer a brunch special for $14.95 that includes a cinnamon roll, a glass of orange juice, bottomless coffee, and one of the brunch entrees from the list. Matt and I always make sure at least one of us gets the special so our hungry selves can snack on the cinnamon roll while waiting for our food to come out.

I will admit that their Cinnamon Rolls can be a little inconsistent. They’re never bad, but sometimes we hit the jackpot with a really sticky, gooey one. This one was a little less so. Don’t worry, we still devoured it.

Matt ordered the Wood Oven Baked Eggs (his favorite). The eggs were baked in an oregano-heavy tomato sauce with ciabatta bread and parmesan cheese. The bread was soft but not soggy, and was great for sopping up all of the extra sauce. I definitely snagged some bites.

I ordered the Mushroom Frittata. As you can see, it was absolutely enormous. It was loaded with oyster, shitake, and crimini mushrooms, fior di latte cheese, oregano, and parmesan. Every couple of bites I came across a nice hunk of creamy fior di latte. Tucked under the huge frittata were some wood oven baked home fries and an arugula salad to make a complete meal.

I should probably branch out and try more restaurants, but Posto is just so darn convenient to my apartment, and their brunch is hard to beat.

What are you some of your favorite Boston brunches?

I am in love with Posto! I seriously can’t get enough of their meatballs and pizzas, but haven’t been to their brunch yet. Your post has me seriously rethinking that though. Sounds delicious!

Also delicious: their meatball pizza. Best of both worlds!

I LOVE Posto’s brunch! I am so psyched to find another Slummaville girl. I love the olive oil for pizza crust dipping.

I spent far too little time in Somerville while I lived in Boston! Posto sounds delicious…I can’t stop looking at that frittata…or that cinnamon roll!

Did you ever go to Riles Jazz Club for brunch? That was my favorite brunch spot!

I’ve been to Riles for jazz and drinks at night but not brunch. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

This brunch looks amazing. I love that they offer the special with the cinnamon roll. I like savory brunch but always enjoy a bite of something sweet too.

The fruit, yogurt, and granola parfait at Henrietta’s Table is one of my favorite breakfast foods around.

Those oven baked eggs sound divine! I love splitting brunch items to get a little bit of savory and sweet.

I still have NEVER been to Posto, it’s awful, I live not even ten minutes away. I actually walked by it a few weeks ago and was salivating over the brunch menu. Must try.
